Key Role:
Serves as the contractor’s contract manager, and is the contractor’s authorized interface with the government contracting officer, the contracting officer’s technical representative, government management personnel, and customer agency representatives. Helps determine business goals in consultation with top management and make detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals. Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates. Able to build strong relationships, and must be comfortable in a client site setting. Position is located in the northern Virginia area.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years experience managing software development and/or COTS software integration projects
Proven experience with the Project Management Framework.
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication for presentations at all levels
Experience with the Project Management Lifecycle
Power user of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and Lotus Notes
Knowledge of Agile Development methodology
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of SharePoint
Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera Teamplay
Experience managing a project budget and resources management
Experience with tracking multiple project schedules and dependencies
PMP certification
Knowledge of current market trends and industry best practices in Information Technology, to include software development methodologies
Understanding of software engineering technologies and architectures
Possession of excellent team leadership and development skills
Possession of excellent client relationship skills
